ROGER BALLEN
Born in New York City, Roger Ballen lives and has worked in Johannesburg for thirty years. Using the camera as a means of self-expression, he photographed civil rights activists and Vietnam War protesters of the 1960s. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of California - Berkeley. Roger Ballen's work is included in the Museum of Modern Art and Victoria and Albert Museum. Roger Ballen has had exhibitions at the National Library of Australia and University of Auckland, New Zealand.
