"Sanna Kannisto was born 1974 in Hameenlinna, Finland. She received her MA from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Sanna has exhibited extensively throughout Europe. She was presented by Jackson Fine Art for her first US solo exhibtion in September 2006. Sanna's photographs present a delicate yet interested approach to nature. She considers herself a ""visual researcher"" because she approaches her natural subjects with a scientific edge, one that aims to answer her own questions about the current relationship between man and nature. She spent extensive time in the rainforest of Brazil, French Guiana and Costa Rica during 2000-2003."
