As for the Stephen Shore image, it is from the portfolio, which was published by The Met in 1976. All of the images in the portfolio came to us in good condition. The collector has chosen to break up the portfolio and sell images individually. The image file that I sent to you is very close to the coloring and saturation of the actual print. They are early prints (printed in 1976) very close to when the negatives were made (1974-1976), when color printing was not as stable as it is now. According to the owner, the prints were never exhibited and always remained in the box. Many of them are very close to the original color. I have attached a letter from The Met that was included with the portfolio when it was originally sold to the collector. We are more than happy to provide you with a copy of the letter. As I mentioned below, the collector originally had the print priced at $3,500 but is now willing to sell it for $2,000, so it is a very good price for that image.
