Mitch Epstein is an American photographer whose work explores the intersections of landscape, culture, politics, history, and the environment. A pioneer of fine-art color photography in the 1970s, Epstein has spent more than five decades documenting the changing American experience through large-format photographs and long-term documentary projects.
