The actor, known for his work on the small screen in How I Met Your Father and Veronica Mars, made his Broadway debut in 2024 in the play Cult of Love. Now, he is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at his time in the show in an exclusive photo diary with PEOPLE that includes never-before-seen images he captured during rehearsals, backstage and more.
The intimate snaps feature him and many of his starry costars, including Shailene Woodley - who also made her Broadway debut in the play - and Zachary Quinto.
Lowell captured the special moments on two medium format cameras: a Hasselblad and a plastic Holga from Hong Kong. He even secretly snapped one shot from on stage.
